I received my copy today. I'm not a fan of the thin cardstock. The original had much better card stock. The card size & images are the same as the original. (I no longer own the original.) The new book is softcover (like the original) but its light orange instead of the original dark orangey red. The set comes in a nice sturdy box like a book with a double insert to hold the cards. The back of the cards are light orange instead of yellow. It's a beautiful set. The light orange color is fine with me. I just wish publishers would use better cardstock & spend less money on the box. Perhaps the cardstock will grow on me in time. 2 stars off for thin cardstock.
Everyone is making a big deal about the fact the card stock is on the thin side, but they are not extraordinarily thin. I own dozens of Tarot and oracle decks, and a good percentage of them have thin cards. What I do is, since I always shuffle seven or nine times, I do half of the shuffles facing up, and the other half facing down. If you do this your cards aren't always being bent in the same direction which helps prevent them from warping. Now that's out of the way...Beautiful cards, and nice book, and really charming presentation. Would I personally have preferred the cards be a tad thicker instead of having an elaborate box? Yes. But under the circumstances, ie This Set Being Out Of Print Forever, I'll take it as is. It's lovely. The colors are vivid. The cards are an interesting mish mosh of ideas and time frames, but there's a solid internal structure to how they look and read.I'm not familiar with Horary Astrology (or any astrology tbh), and the system is complex. But I found once I just jumped in and did the basic thirteen card spread I got into the rhythm pretty fast. It's not really more complex than Tarot, there's just some different considerations, and I have to say from my so-far limited observations since I've yet to memorize them, the titles of the cards are VERY helpful. They're helpful in the author/artist's intended meanings, and also in helping me form my own associations in an organic way since I respond to words similarly to how I respond to images.I sense, and I don't yet know if this will turn out to be true, that cards like these are great for big overviews, for longterm projects or for insight on things that are further out, much in the way Lenormand decks are best for smaller views and the short term. I could be getting this vibe because astrology is full of big patterns spread out over months or even years. I don't know if Horary Astrology can be used in conjunction with modern astrology proper, I wouldn't know where to begin synthesizing them, but it's a cool idea. And while the book doesn't indicate anything for reversals, I'm toying with the idea of incorporating them, in the same way retrogrades happen. So I can see there'd be some interesting applications.I've been waiting to find either a reasonably priced first edition of this deck, for years now, and now that it's in print again I finally have it and can explore some new paths. I find decks like this sharpen my skills and insights with other decks I own, so I'm looking forward to using it. It spoke to me through the images years ago, which was weird because at the time I didn't have the remotest interest in any astrology stuff, much less such a specific type. So I say if these images or ideas speak to you, go for it and give it a chance.
I just got my deck today. TwoWords, HOLY MOLY! Love it!! I’ve been wanting to get more into astrology. The books seems to have a lot of information. Awesome sturdy box it comes with. The cardstock is on the thinner side but it riffle shuffles beautifully. This deck will go fantastic along side my tarot of the holy light!!
I got into tarot for a very long time. I usually would find these tarot websites and do the online readings. I fell into a very tough relationship with someone and felt that it was life changing. I then purchased my first deck here on amazon. It was a typical rider tarot deck and now I'm the owner of 6 decks and 2 oracle decks. I kept googling and YouTubing decks and came across this deck. When I searched for it on amazon it wasn't available anymore. Then months passed and it was on pre-order and I got so excited. I got the deck a few days ago and already so involve with the deck because of the radiance it releases just by looking at the art work on them. My husband took a look at them and he really liked them too. I've been doing reading every day and I feel a really close connection with these cards. I never owned the first deck so I have no comparison for that, but do with other cards. I do like the typical length of tarot cards, and these are the size of regular playing cards, which work well too. My husband thought these were thick but he doesn't know use tarot like I do. They are thin but I rather have cards that flow easier than not. I have decks that are so thick I can barely shuffle them. I feel all decks are different and eventually you will buy for the sheer fun of buying cards.
When will they listen to collector's and card enthusiast? Beautiful images literally printed on paper, not card stock ruins it all. I would have easily given this deck 5 stars but not with this horrible decision to pass this off as a deck if "cards." How about a stack of paper?
The card stock is so thin, it’s going to be a challenge to use them—they are so delicate. I’ve yet to connect with the cards, so I am not sure it they are worth keeping or not—will update.
I have waited a very long time for the rebirth of this deck. I love Caroline Smiths art and am a fan of her decks.... but this cardstock is probably the worst I’ve ever seen/experienced. There was so much detail that went into the creation of the box/packaging; it is solid and made to last..... but...... the card stock....is so thin and wimpy! I don’t even know if the deck is usable! I am afraid of bending and tearing these cards. It really makes no sense to me to spend all that detail/money on packaging, and yet create cards that will not last! It’s extremely frustrating and disappointing. Yay China!

An excellent book on SharePoint 2010 that cover a wide spectrum of topics. It would be suitable for most people who want to better understand what SharePoint 2010 can offer. The main focus is on the SharePoint Server 2010 product rather than SharePoint 2010 Foundation but that doesn't mean that it still isn't relevant for Foundation users.It covers the whole gambit from installation to branding and customization. The book contains plenty of technical information as well a tutorial style walk throughs to help you better understand exactly what the capabilities of SharePoint 2010 are. I especially like how the SharePoint terminology and functions are described and explained in detail by the author.In summary the book is a a valuable edition to any SharePoint administrator's library.
Having to freshly start over with SharePoint I found myself wondering about all the features SP had to offer. So I picked the book up and was very glad that I did. It is well organized and I was able to skip a chapter or two on installing and configuring SP, since that had been done for me already, without missing anything very important. This goes over in fairly good detail of the functions that SP can offer. I found myself asking more questions about workflows and SP Designer but there are other books that can cover that in more detail.It is a little long and I would say that it is for an admin who does more of the server/farm side of things. If you are a designer/app developer then only about half of this book relates to you directly. However reading all the features and what is availalbe on every end is very valuable to know which is why I thouroughly enjoyed this book.
SharePoint admin quit Monday and guess who had to take over......quick to the kindle!!! This book covers everything you need to know to get by when your admin quits. A month later we had a new admin! Thank you Todd Klindt!!!!
This Is excellent information for any share point administrator
This is a good book on SharePoint Administration. It covers a ton of features so it is not as deep as I would have liked to have seen on some subject, for instance, Upgrading to SharePoint 2010 was not deep enough.The level of coverage is fine though for getting familiar with the toolset offered by SharePoint 2010. It goes deep enough to give you a good understanding of the features which is part of what makes this book good.I wanted an overview of the available features. If it had gone in-depth on every feature it would have been too much material to get through.All in all I think this book does a great job of introducing the available functionality in SharePoint 2010.
I got this book for my wife who is trying to certify in Sharepoint. This gives a good overview of the operation and is also good for reference. It was not the primary learning tool but will used more if she ends up working in this area.
No book has all the answers but this book goes a long way. A great resource for any sharepoint administrator . Bought the book to assist me to set up a sharepoint farm at work. It is worth every penny. Farm is up because I am very familiar with the Sharepoint however I am reading it cover to cover to gather additonal tips for my job. I have read several sharepoint books over the years and this in one of the best.

Nice over-view of Alco steam and Diesel locomotives. As a steam fan I would have preferred more on steam and less on Diesel, but no doubt part of the content was driven by available color photos, which clearly favor newer, that is Diesel, locomotives. Nicely done book with excellent photos and some discussion of the currently operating Alco Diesels.
This is a good book for anyone who follows the ALCO manufacturing company. Tells of it being a true underdog but fighting for it's market share. After some trouble getting started they had almost pulled it off. Very good story. Brian put some work putting the story together. Pictures were very clear.
While not the definitive tome on Alco, this book is a must for anyone interested in their history, and the pictures are super. If you are interested in Alco locomotives, steam and diesel, you should get this book!
I was hoping for more photos and larger ones. Too much gab for my tastes and the Big Boy seemed an afterthought and didn't receive enough attention. Perhaps reading it on my iPad wasn't putting it in it's best light. The photos appear really small on the iPad screen. They need to be full page.
Great book on Alco. As one of the many who liked Alco with it's underdog status this book is a great one to have. If Alco would have been given the same leeway during WWII, I wonder if they would still be going.
Very informative and great pictures. Tells how Alco went from a major supplier of quality steam locomotives, to struggling in the diesel market.

Charles M. Schulz was born November 25, 1922, in Minneapolis. Between 1948 and 1950, he succeeded in selling 17 cartoons to the Saturday Evening Post―as well as, to the local St. Paul Pioneer Press, a weekly comic feature called Li'l Folks. It was run in the women's section and paid $10 a week. After writing and drawing the feature for two years, Schulz asked for a better location in the paper or for daily exposure, as well as a raise. One of my Christmas presents, and I'm definitely getting more.The 1967-1968 set was quite familiar to me, but 1969-1970 wasn't. Clearly, the first two years were well represented in the Treasuries I used to get from my library.Definitely buying more, as I only have 1950-1952.One of my favorite strips ever.
I just received this set yesterday and it is just as sturdy as the others. I can't believe my collection is almost complete. This is a great collection for all fans of the strip and I, for one, am proud to own them. Beautifully done as always.Now for the good part. Fans of the collection have been curious as to what is going to happen with the final volume. Will it have a case or not? A few months ago I contacted the publishers about this and was told that there will indeed be a 26th volume and final box set next year. However, there has been no official word yet from the publishers so this morning I contacted again concerning the same matter and was told once again that there will be a 26th volume. This time I was given a bit more info as well. Here was there response:(Cut and pasted)Due to collector demands we're publishing a 26th volume of material yet to be determined and there will be a boxed set for 25 & 26 at the end of 2016.Our pr dept. gave me this bit of information that will be apart of promotion starting next year. "Complete Peanuts fans: although the strip has been collected, we have one more volume up our sleeve for next fall, collecting a treasure trove of Schulz rarities, from his initial Peanuts pitch packet, to several comic book stories, advertising art, two major, never-before published interviews, and many other surprises!"
This Peanuts collection, 1963-1964, stands out. The strip suffered from overexposure beginning about ten years later. It was probably on nearly every bulletin board in every grade school in the country. In that time, it was mainly the very sentimentalized excerpts featuring a sweet saccharine world, and it is still close to that today. Too bad, as it leaves out the sharper and wittier world of the characters. The 1964 Sunday proclaims, "Happiness is winning an argument with your sister," so when Lucy argues that Linus will get great satisfaction from kicking apart a snow-Lucy he had made, he says "On the contrary! That would be crude. I'm just going to stand here and watch it slowly melt away!" In other places, Lucy makes her patented temper humorous and even wise when she claims,"There's nothing like a little physical pain to take your mind off your emotional problems." Sunday strips then were more widely read, so when Charley Brown lamented twice in one Sunday, "There's a dreariness in the air that depresses me," many people laughed but nodded their heads. But perhaps Sally displays the most existential angst when after crying out loud on a Sunday, she explains, "I was jumping rope....Everything was all right...when...Suddenly it all felt so futile!" On a side note, I find that reading just a couple pages a day works best with strip reprints. They were intended by their creators to be read a little at a time. In any case, this volume of Fantagraphics' great series is a special, truthful one.
Well, a little disappointed as I thought this was the FINAL volume in the series, but then I read the word "penultimate" on the bookjacket and after a little research discovered there will one more book in the series (Vol. 26) that collects rarities, demo strips and other non-strip related Peanuts art. That being said, it's a little bittersweet to have completed the entire strip in collection -- minus one missing strip from 1957 I believe that was not in the archive and no one has been able to find a copy (to the best of my knowledge - the publisher of this series said they would be publish it in a future volume if it was ever found). But this is still a fitting end (almost). My only quibble with this release concerns the final Sunday panel that was published 9 hours after Schulz's passing. In the original color strip, there are (I assume) digitally imposed images of past scenes in the blank space above Snoopy's (read: Schulz's) final typed words. I know this because I saved the strip from my copy of that Sunday paper. I also still get misty-eyed and the lump forms in my throat when I read that final strip and those words in bold typeface: "Dear Friends...Truth be told, I bawled like a baby after reading it initially over 16 years ago, especially after learning Schulz had died the night before. In fact, Charles Schulz is one of the three "celebrity" deaths I have ever cried over as if I lost a member of my own family. Fred Rogers and Dick Clark are the other two. Perhaps there was some subconscious "avuncular" association I had with these 3 individuals - like they were the favorite old uncles who were nonthreatening and wise in their own ways. Mr. Rogers was, of course, a major part of my early childhood along with Sesame Street and the Electric Company (even though admittedly some of his stuff seems pretty sappy looking back with adult hindsight but I still think he genuinely cared about children and their feelings), and Dick Clark helped to inform me of rock and popular music as I came of musical age in the late 70's/early 80's via American Bandstand, and countless Rockin' New Year Eves. I am of the firm belief that one establishes his/her musical tastes during their tween years and I happened to enter that during the Punk/New Wave explosion (and I still like the music from that era - not the crap it mutated into by 1985 - by then I was well on my way to what would soon be called alternative/college radio music).However, throughout my childhood and into my adult life, the one constant by was Charles Schulz and Peanuts, either via the daily comic strip or the TV specials (which still continue to air on Broadcast Television), the books, the greeting cards, the stuffed Snoopys, the Christmas ornaments, even the Met Life commercials. So thanks to Fantagraphics and the Schulz family for archiving and allowing this collection to be made available to the public. I look forward to purchasing the FINAL volume in October and then my collection will be more or less complete!

I have read a many of books on this subject and this is the BEST BOOK THUS FAR FOR POST-OPT WLS PATIENTS who are looking for help to regain knowledge or learn more about their tool for weight loss and maintaining your healthy weight. I am 5 years post-op and have had a back injury which lead to surgery 2 years after my wls. I put on over 70 lbs back on after my surgery. Mean while my Bariatric doctor has retired and I have not been able to find a local support group or doctor for that matter. I have a wonderful family doctor who has been doing his best to help me but this is not his field of expertise.Dr Clark even though I have never talked to him face to face reminds me of my weight loss doctor/surgeon who retired. He seems to love what he does and really care about his patients and is willing to help the wls community with his free webinars and other tips and tools to help get you back on track to regaining your life. I recommend this book to any one who has had WLS that is struggling with post-op weight gain..
A lot of common sense that my original surgeon should have told me about. I feel that this book combined with the 5 Days Pouch Test Book will really help me get back on track and lose the last 50lbs.

The book is well written and supportive. A lot of the links however, are designed to sell us more services at the CFWLS.com website. There are some free videos that people might find helpful the youtube channel[...] from Dr. Clark, but the weightlossacademy link in his book does not seem to exist (or is down at the time of this writing), So all in all, a pretty good book about getting back on track, although there is nothing new or innovative here, and the support web sites listed in the appendix either don't work, have a few helpful additions, or are designed to sell us something. While I feel I got my money's worth from the book, the additional resources at the end were not nearly as helpful as I would have liked.
I am 4 years post wls and ive gained 30 labs back. i was a little iffy about this book but it was a great motivation and has great tips. if youve regained it is a must read!

This book caters to a very unique niche- the Vegan Ketogenic diet. I have sometimes wondered if its possible to do a Keto diet as a vegetarian and this book shows that you can. However, it will be more challenging than it would be for a meat eater. The recipes look intriguing in here. I didn't try them out but I flipped through to see the variety.My biggest concern is the strange/rare ingredients listed on many of the recipes. I would not know where to find things like "hemp hearts". It would be helpful to see an explanation of where to find these things.However, if you can track down the ingredients, this could be a very valuable resource.

I do not like this book is too simplistic and I am already well-informed on a vegan diet and somewhat informed on ketogenic diet. I feel like this book is more of a pamphlet. With very large print to get it to 183 pages. I am most upset that returns are not free shipping even though this is Amazon prime.
I wanted a book to tell me how to figure out the specific macros for my body and needs, and one to tell me how to refeed carbs, or carb up. Nothing.
This book satisfied my need to know more about the vegan keto diet and to get some delicious recipes. I'm trying the Fudgesicle Pops tomorrow. Can't wait!

About the Author
Jason Bige Burnett graduated from Western Kentucky University with a BFA in ceramics and BAs in both printmaking and graphic design. He then continued his education for two years at the renowned Penland School of Crafts as a core fellowship student and spent a year as an Artist-In-Residence at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in Gatlinburg, TN. He has taught many ceramic surface design workshops at various locations including Baltimore Clayworks, MudFire, Odyssey Center for Ceramic Arts, and Santa Fe Clay. His ceramics have been exhibited nationally, and he's been featured in publications such as Pottery Making Illustrated, Ceramics Monthly (Emerging Artist in 2013), American Craft Magazine, and regional magazines such as Carolina Home + Garden and WNC Magazine, in addition to being featured in the book 500 Prints on Clay (Lark Books). Jason currently lives and works as a full-time studio artist in Bakersville, NC.

This book had easy to use templates, clear instructions and fresh ideas. Each project listed the materials and tools needed, had numerous pictures in the step-by-step directions and was easy to read and understand. It even taught you how to build much of the needed equipment. The question and answer sessions found throughout the book were very helpful and the galleries of work from various artists' works were informative and inspirational. This is a book I will use for a long time to come, it will be an invaluable reference tool.
I really like this book, a LOT. Lots of great inspiration into Jason's beautify style. My only wishes were that a little less was spent on screen printing (though I understand the value to many) and lettering photos with corresponding how-to directions that have numbers is confusing for a how-to book that should be super clear. Either link number to number or letter to letter. I did how-to book design for over a decade.
This book is a generous gift to toiling ceramic artist's. It is so free of clutter. It is so clearly instructive. The photography is better than taking a Master Workshop. I would like to buy everything that he publishes. Thank you Jason. Keep on keeping on.....

I bought Jason's video and that was amazing. However, this books is even better! It is wonderfully documented with full-color photos and answers all the questions you may have about creating graphics ceramics. This is now my go-to book.
The one and only book you will ever need for screenprinting on clay. Very well explained and two very useful trouble shooting page. I had no other help/teacher and was succesful from the start .
